Spicy KFC Snacker Complete Information

The Spicy KFC Snacker costs $2.99 and carries 360 cal, which makes it the cheapest way to get heat on the KFC menu. It is the KFC Snacker with spicy mayo in place of plain: an Original Recipe tender, pickles, spicy mayo, brioche roll. Because the tender is mild and the sauce is doing all the work, the heat is more noticeable here than on a full-size sandwich, where a heavier crust and more chicken dilute it.

It is also the mildest genuinely spicy thing KFC sells, which makes it a reasonable first step for someone testing how much heat they want. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich is the same idea at three times the size, and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich is several steps beyond both. At $2.99 it costs the same as the plain Snacker, so there is no premium for the sauce. Two of them and a side is a proper lunch for under the price of most combos on the Combos menu.

Tips

  • Taste the mayo and adjust before it goes near a sandwich. Cayenne sauces differ wildly in strength between brands.
  • The honey is doing a job. Without it the sauce tastes sharp rather than hot.
  • Small rolls, not burger buns. A Snacker on a full bun is just a poorly filled sandwich.

Variations

  • Add a spoon of fine slaw for the Spicy Snacker with Coleslaw.
  • Swap the cayenne sauce for chipotle for smoke instead of sharp heat.
  • Double the sauce and use it as a dip for tenders instead.
