Why Does This Site Exist?

Finding out what a KFC meal costs should take ten seconds. In practice it takes ten minutes of opening pages that were last touched two years ago, comparing figures that disagree, and eventually giving up and driving there to look at the board. Prices are set restaurant by restaurant, the menu shifts several times a year, and most of the pages that rank for "KFC menu prices" were written once and never revisited.

We built this because that gap is fixable. The information is public — KFC publishes its menu, its nutrition data, its restaurant details and its offers. What was missing was somebody collecting all of it, keeping it current, and being honest about what it can and cannot tell you. That is the whole job here.

What Do We Track?

Menu and prices

All 150 items across 10 categories, priced from KFC's own ordering system. Because franchisees set their own prices, we sample 22 restaurants and publish the median — with the real range on each item's page.

Restaurants and hours

3,702 US restaurants across 51 states, with addresses, phone numbers, services and each one's own published opening hours.

Nutrition and allergens

KFC's published nutrition panels and allergen records, with a calculator that totals a meal as you build it. Where KFC publishes nothing, we show nothing.

Offers and codes

The 20 promotions currently live in KFC's own offer system, each with the redemption code and promotion ID that system carries for it.

How Do We Get Our Data?

Everything on this site is collected from KFC's own public sources, automatically, on a schedule. There is no manual transcription step, because that is where staleness and typos come from.

Prices come from KFC's ordering system. The complication is that KFC menu prices are not national — each franchisee sets their own — so a single "KFC price" does not exist. We read the menu at 22 restaurants spread across the country and publish the median, with the lowest and highest we saw shown on each item's page. That is why our prices carry a range instead of a promise.

Restaurant details and hours come from KFC's own store pages, all 3,702 of them. We read what each restaurant publishes about itself rather than averaging into a chain-wide claim — which is also how we know the chain's single most common schedule covers only about a fifth of its restaurants.

Nutrition and allergens come from KFC's published nutrition data. Allergens are recorded by KFC in three states — present, absent, and not assessed — and we show all three, because a blank that reads as "safe" would be the most dangerous thing on the site.

Offers come from the promotions service behind KFC's own app, which is why the codes here are real strings and why an offer vanishes from our pages when KFC pulls it.

What Does "Updated" Mean Here?

Every page carries a date. That date is when the content on it was last built, and the whole site — all 174 pages — is rebuilt weekly from freshly collected data.

What it is not is a today-stamp. Plenty of sites print the current date on every page every day, which makes a page from 2022 look like it was checked this morning. We would rather the date meant something, even when it means the page is a few days old.

What We Are Not

Independent site. Not affiliated with KFC. KFMenu.us is an independent resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to KFC or Yum! Brands, Inc.

The KFC name, the Colonel, and all related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them to describe the food and restaurants this site is about, which is what nominative use permits — not to suggest any endorsement, because there is none.

We cannot take an order, change an order, refund one, look up your rewards balance or answer for anything that happened in a restaurant. For all of that you need KFC directly or their customer support.

Who Runs This?

KFMenu.us is run by a small independent editorial team. We are not going to invent a photogenic food writer with a fabricated biography to sit at the top of these pages — that is a common trick and it is a lie. What we will tell you is exactly how the site works, which is above, and stand behind the data.

We fund the site with advertising. That has no bearing on what the data says: prices come out of KFC's system whether they are flattering or not, and we have no commercial relationship with KFC that could be affected either way.

Corrections

We get things wrong. A price moves, a restaurant changes its hours, a franchisee stops running an offer, and our figure is briefly stale. When that happens we would rather know.

Leave a comment on the page itself, or use the contact form. The useful detail is which restaurant and what you were actually charged — that is what lets us check it against the next rebuild rather than guess.

About This Site

No. KFMenu.us is an independent resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to KFC or Yum! Brands, Inc. We do not take orders, handle payments, run restaurants or answer for anything KFC does. For those, use KFC's own site.
KFC's own public sources: the menu and prices from their ordering system, restaurant details from their store pages, nutrition from their published calculator data, and promotions from their live offers feed. Nothing is typed in by hand, which is why the figures move when KFC's do.
Every page is rebuilt weekly from freshly collected data. The "Updated" date on a page is the date of the content on it, not the date you happen to be reading — we would rather show a real date than reset one daily to look busy.
Leave a comment on the page in question, or use the contact form. Tell us the restaurant and what you were actually charged; that is the detail that lets us check it.
