The Short Version

What we collect

Comments and star ratings you choose to post, and the message you send if you use the contact form. That is the complete list of things you give us directly.

What we do not collect

No accounts, no passwords, no payment details, no browsing profile across visits, no email address unless you write to us and give us one.

What third parties see

Google serves the advertising and sets its own cookies. Cloudflare runs the spam check on the comment form. Both are described in full below.

Your choices

Opt out of personalised ads at Google's own settings, block cookies in your browser, or simply do not post anything. The site works either way.

Ratings and Comments

Star ratings and comments are stored in a hosted Supabase database. For a comment we store the name you type (or "Guest" if you leave it blank), the comment text, which page it was left on, and the time it was posted. For a rating we store the star value, which item it was for, and the time. We do not store your email address or your IP address alongside either.

Both are public. A comment appears on the page for everyone as soon as it posts, and is included in the page's structured data. Do not put anything in a comment you would not want indexed.

Cookies and Local Storage

We do not set tracking cookies of our own. What this site writes is browser local storage, which stays on your device and is never transmitted to us:

  • Ratings you have given — so the widget shows "You rated 4" when you come back rather than asking again.
  • Your saved meal plan — the plan you build on the meal planner, including any budget you set.
  • Recipe progress — which ingredients and steps you have ticked off on an item page.
  • A comment timestamp — used only to space out repeat posts from the same browser.

Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it. Nothing there identifies you, and none of it reaches our servers.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads and, where you have not opted out, to personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads), or opt out of third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices. Doing so does not remove the ads, it removes the personalisation.

Spam Protection

The comment form and the contact form show a Cloudflare Turnstile widget. Turnstile checks the browser rather than asking you to solve a puzzle, and Cloudflare processes that check under its own privacy terms. On this site the widget is deliberately non-blocking — a comment posts whether or not the check completes, so a failed widget never costs you your message.

The Contact Form

The message, name and email address you enter are sent to us so we can reply. We do not add that address to any list, and we do not use it for anything other than answering you.

Analytics

If analytics is running on this site it is Google Analytics, configured for aggregate traffic measurement. It records page views and rough geography, not individuals. It is not used to build a profile of you and its data is not combined with comments or ratings.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is nothing to collect.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Practically, the only thing we are likely to hold is a comment you posted and any email you sent us.

Write to [email protected] and we will deal with it. Because comments are anonymous we cannot confirm you wrote one, so we assess removal requests on the content rather than on proof of authorship.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially we will change the effective date at the top and describe what changed. That date is set by hand, not generated — it moves when the policy moves, not when the site rebuilds.

Who We Are

KFMenu.us is an independent site. KFMenu.us is an independent resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to KFC or Yum! Brands, Inc. Contact: [email protected].

Privacy Questions

No, and there is no way to make one. Ratings and comments are posted anonymously, which is also why they cannot be edited or deleted by you after the fact — there is no identity attached to them to prove ownership with.
No. We have almost nothing to sell: no accounts, no email list from browsing, no profile built across visits. Advertising is served by Google, who set their own cookies — that relationship is described below and you can opt out of personalisation at their link.
The name you type (or "Guest"), the comment text, the page path and a timestamp are stored in our database. Your email is not requested and your IP is not recorded by us. Comments are public the moment they post.
Email [email protected] with the page and roughly what it said. Since comments are anonymous we cannot verify you wrote it, so we act on the content rather than on ownership — anything abusive or personal comes down regardless of who asks.

Questions About Privacy

No comments yet. If you have been to KFC recently and the price or the hours here look wrong, say so below and we will check it.
